Gatwick from Central London

Gatwick Airport sits approximately 27 to 28 miles south of Central London. The most direct route heads south via the A23 through Brixton, Streatham and Croydon before joining the M23 directly into the airport. In good traffic the journey takes 60 to 75 minutes. During afternoon peak hours — particularly 4pm to 7pm on weekdays — the A23 and M25 interchange can extend the journey to 90 minutes or more. UKride plans your pickup time around your specific flight, not a best-case scenario.

Gatwick has two separate terminals — North Terminal and South Terminal — connected by a free transit monorail but physically quite different in location. Arriving at the wrong terminal can cost 15 minutes and significant stress. When you book with UKride, confirm your terminal and your driver takes you directly to the correct drop-off zone. easyJet, TUI and Norwegian primarily use the North Terminal. British Airways, Wizz Air and Vueling use the South Terminal. If in doubt, check your boarding pass.
